We are an infants school and our pupils are aged between 3 - 7 years old. Our pupils start school the term after their 3rd birthday, they are admitted into our Pre-Nursery or Nursery class and then they attend school from 9am - 12pm everyday (and until 3.00pm in Reception, 3.10pm in Year 1 & 2). Nursery pupils have a full time place from 9am - 3pm the term after their 4th birthday.

To apply for a pre-nursery or nursery place you need to do so on-line by visiting https://schooladmissions.rhondda-cynon-taff.gov.uk. Applications need to be made the term before your child is due to start school. Should you need any further information, please contact the school as we will be happy to help you. 

We  have a weekly 'Link Up' session on a Thursday morning from 11.00 - 12.00pm (this will continue when covid restrictions allow). This is for children due to start our school within the next year (after they turn 2) to come along with a parent/carer in order to get to know the environment and staff. Please call the office if you would like to come along.

We welcome new parents and pupils to make an appointment and come for a visit to meet the Headteacher and take a look around our school. Please call the school office on 01443 486842 to arrange a time and date for your visit.

As Nursery is not statutory parents will need to apply for their child to have a place in Reception and then Year 2 parents will need to apply for their child to have a place in a local school for Year 3.

RCT now use online applications for school places and they will contact you direct, however if you are having any difficulties please come and see us in the school office and we will do everything we can to help you.

If you would like your child to attend our school and they are already school age, you will need to complete an in-year transfer form.  These can be obtained from your current school or by contacting RCT school admissions.
