Visions and Values

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning as well as our relationships with children, parents and the wider community. When you visit our school, you will see our vision in practice.

Our Whole School Vision

Trallwng Infants provides a safe, happy & welcoming environment that inspires children to become independent and confident learners within our community.

Our Values

As a school, we have six core values that we want to instil in our children. Each half-term, we focus on one of our core values, with weekly value assemblies, sharing stories and information with the children to explore the value in more detail.

Our AoLE Visions

While developing our school curriculum, we have explored each of the Areas of Learning Experiences (AoLE's) and created visions for each area. As a school, this is what we strive to provide each learner with through our broad and balanced curriculum.

Expressive Arts

At Trallwng Infants we believe expression and creativity is the key to a fulfilled life. We engage our children physically, socially and emotionally, nurturing their wellbeing, self-esteem and resilience. Developing a sense of pride in their accomplishments, as creators or as an audience, our children will gain an understanding of different cultures and societies in Wales and around the world through the arts.

 Health & Wellbeing Vision

Health & wellbeing is at the heart of all we do. We provide opportunities that encourage our children to be independent, to challenge themselves, to manage risks and to build resilience. Every child is encouraged to develop meaningful relationships, be active, healthy and happy.

Humanities Vision

At Trallwng Infants, we seek to awaken a sense of wonder, fire the imagination and inspire our children to grow in knowledge and wisdom. Humanities will encourage curiosity in our ever-changing world and develop an understanding of the past and present to help inform the actions of our children in the future. Our children will become ethical, ambitious and informed individuals who are ready to play an active role as citizens of Wales and the wider world finding their cynefin.

Language, Literacy & Communication Vision

At Trallwng Infants, we strive to inspire all children to listen actively, speak confidently, read fluently and write creatively and imaginatively. We believe in the importance of developing a passion for languages and literature, recognising that these are integral in developing our cultural identity.

Mathematics & Numeracy Vision

At Trallwng Infants, we provide children with opportunities to think mathematically, enabling them to reason and solve problems, preparing them for a life in a mathematically rich world.

Key features of Mathematics & Numeracy:

- Practical and engaging experiences

Science & Technology Vision

At Trallwng Infants, we want our learners to be excited and inspired to want to find out more, developing their curiosity and inquisitive nature through experiential learning. They will develop their knowledge and skills, enabling them to overcome the challenges of the environment that we face today and in the future.
