This fortnight we will be continuing our theme with the story of Jack & the Beanstalk. Activities include acting out the story in the small world area, planting our own magic beans and then ordering pictures correctly to help Jack to plant his own beans. We will also be counting magic beans, ordering beanstalks according to their length and comparing the castle that the giant lives in with the house that Jack lives in. We will be talking about what is right and what is wrong, should Jack have taken the hen and the harp from the giant's castle?
Please keep an eye on your child's see-saw account for pictures of what they are doing.
If anyone has any concerns, please see me on the door in the morning or the afternoon.
The children have all settled very well into full time education and have adjusted very well to the new rules and routines that have needed to be implemented due to the pandemic.
We have made a great start with our topic' Once upon a time'. We have been doing the story of Little Red Riding Hood. Amongst other things, the children have had the opportunity to re-tell the story, count jam tarts to go in Little Red Riding Hoods basket, sort food according to whether they are healthy or not, and think of a healthy alternative to go in Little Red Riding Hood's basket. We have also been discussing the importance of looking after our teeth so that they stay as strong as the Big Bad Wolf!
Please take a look at your child's see-saw account to see some pictures of all of the activities we have completed.
If anyone has any concerns, please ensure you catch me in the morning or the afternoon. Unfortunately, I am unable to invite you into school to discuss anything, but will happily speak to you outside or over the phone.
