School Council

2016 - 2017

Meet our new committee!

We had our first meeting last Friday. We discussed many things, including the use of new outdoor toys. The children looked at all of the toys, went outside with Mrs Bennett to learn how to use them and decide which area of the years would be most suitable to play the games on.

We also had a think about what we wanted to do to improve Trallwng Infant school. We are currently in the process of putting an action plan together.

A big thank you to Lola for keeping the minutes!

I was very proud of them and am looking forward to working with them on the School Council this year

We have a democratically elected School Council. Each September Year 1 and 2 pupils are given the opportunity to stand as a school councillor, they create a short speech outlining how they will help their fellow pupils and the teachers improve our school. Once all the candidates have given their election speech their classmates go to the ballot box and vote for the best ideas/speech.

Once all the ballots are counted we have 3 representatives from each year group and alongside them we have 2 pupils nominated by the teachers from Nursery and Reception classes. This means that all ages within our school are represented. We believe it is important that all our pupils have a voice in school improvement planning and decisions.
